ABOUT CHRISTINE MCNELIS
Christine is the state manager for Palm Bay International and Taub Family Selections in Pennsylvania. She didn’t set out to pursue wine as her career, but she met her first Sommelier at age 21 and from there, the race was on. She consumed all study materials she could get her hands on and was awarded from her studies; Certified Specialist of Wine by the Society of Wine Educators, Level 3 with merit by the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust, Level 2 by the Court of Master Sommeliers, and Certified Sommelier by the International Sommelier Guild.
Immediately following her Certified Sommelier exam award, she began working at Le Bec Fin in Philadelphia. Cristine worked for the Perrier family for 5 years, closing the restaurant with Georges and again with the next group of owners. Following the final closing, Cristine got into wine and spirits distribution and later, to her current role as a supplier.
Cristine is currently enrolled in the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust Diploma program with her sights set on becoming a Master of Wine through the Institute of Masters of Wine. She lives in Delaware County with her husband and three children.
