322 N. McKean Street - The Maridon Museum is the only museum in this region with a specific focus on Asian art and culture. The Maridon is very elegant and houses more than 800 objects in its permanent collection. As you’re walking to the museum, notice several striking churches along the way.

123 W. Diamond Street - Discover the county’s past at the Butler County Heritage Center, operated by the Butler County Historical Society. The permanent collection includes an original Bantam Jeep and displays of Butler’s many industries past and present.Visit the home built by Butler’s only U.S. Senator, Walter Lowrie, in 1828. The Lowrie/Shaw House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is recognized for its historical and architectural significance. Tour this house museum to learn more. Take note of the Butler County Courthouse which is right across the street and features interesting architecture.
