Mars Area Band Boosters Events

Mars Area Band Boosters Inc. is a 501©3 nonprofit organization created to support music and music education in the Mars Area School District. MABB Inc is comprised of a group of current and former Mars band parents that assist with band activities throughout the year. As part of our mission, we provide funding for band-related items that are necessary to maintain a quality and competitive program, but fall outside the scope of the school district budget.

As part of our fund raising efforts, we promote community based entertainment activities that can be enjoyed by a diverse group of people. 2012 will mark the fourth year of our "Band on the Run 5K" run/walk. Our inaugural event attracted over 200 participants. Our 2011 event saw participation increase to 500 runners and walkers.

2011 marked our first concert event featuring the "Tommy Dorsey Orchestra", an internationally recognized swing era jazz band. 2012 will bring "The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra" and Pittsburgh's own "River City Brass Band" to Mars High School for world class performances by world famous groups.
