Education & Libraries

Welcome to the Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School website. Seven area school districts are affiliated with our school.

For 48 years, Butler County Community College has been "The Smart Place to Start" for more than 100,000 students.

Founded in 1854 as the Orphan's Home and Farm School by Rev. Dr.

Children emerge from Heart Prints preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten as confident, compassionate, curious, creative individuals who work to solve problems and manage conflict respectfully.

At the Mars Area Public Library we offer a word for everyone.

For a small library it packs a lot in, from an amazing book collection to great programs; two storytimes, Lego club, therapy dog reading and so much more.

Shaped by its normal school heritage, the University is distinguished by its commitment to intellectual development, leadership, and civic responsibility.

The South Butler Community Library is dedicated to building community connections and providing tools for lifelong discovery.

We serve the communities of Zelienople Borough, Harmony Borough, Lancaster Township and Jackson Township. Established in 1919. Our current building was dedicated in 1975.
