Portersville’s Moraine State Park is 16,725 acres, with 1,750 square feet of beach, 71 miles of trails and 42 miles of shoreline, and is the spot for hiking, horseback riding, biking, mountain biking, and snowmobiling. With more than 700 picnic tables, it’s the perfect place for a picnic with family and friends.
No matter where you visit here you’re sure to be near a spot that will tantalize your taste buds. Cranberry Township, located in the southern part of the county, has a wide variety of restaurants from family favorites to others unique to our local parts You’ll find fine dining throughout Butler County, including in our small towns of Harmony, Saxonburg, and Zelienople.
If you’re interested in local libations, the Butler Beer Circuit is a collection of craft breweries, which serve up great food in addition to outstanding beer. If dessert is your passion, then hop on the Sweet Tooth Trail, which takes you to shops featuring some of the best confectionary delights you’ll find anywhere!
