Harmony Museum Presents One of Country’s Best Christmas Markets

(HARMONY, Pa, November 6, 2023): Dozens of skilled artisans, and thousands of visitors will visit the town of Harmony for their annual WeihnachtsMarkt or German-style Christmas Market, Saturday and Sunday, November 11 and 12. This event was named one of the Top 20 Christmas Markets in the country by Travel Magazine. It attracts families from across the tri-state area for unique shopping and a celebration of Harmony’s German roots. There’s German music, food, and thousands of unique, hand-made items for sale.

Market hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for Harmony Museum members and seniors, $4 for students, free for children 5 and younger. Admission provides all-day access to the market, entertainment, and horse-drawn wagon rides in Harmony’s National Historic Landmark District. Parking is free in marked parking lots throughout the town. A free shuttle bus will take visitors from the parking lots to the Christmas Market entrance.

“Harmony’s Christmas Market is a great event for holiday shopping,” says Gwen Lutz, event organizer and vice president of the Harmony Museum. “And with our German food and music, it’s no wonder Harmony was named one of the top twenty Christmas Markets in the country.”

Specialty vendors and traditional crafters were chosen to participate for the quality of their offerings, including regionally produced wine and moonshine and imported German goods. The traditional German holiday beverage Glühwein is also available in a commemorative mug.
