Butler, Pennsylvania 16002
Overview
Ranger beads are essential tools for hikers and backpackers. These bead sets are used to count paces and estimate distance travelled.
We will each make our own set of ranger beads, walk a course to ascertain our pace length, discuss the benefits of using them, and learn how to use them efficiently. Once we are ready, we will go on a short hike and practice using our beads.
$6 per Audubon member; $10 per nonmember; this program will take place both inside and outside, please dress accordingly and be sure to wear sturdy shoes for the outside portion.
