Join a naturalist for a walk around the Nature Park and up on the Butler-Freeport Community Trail. We will look for birds and whatever else catches our interest.
The nature park is mostly level with some uneven ground. The Butler Freeport Community Trail is a rail trail and therefore flat and easy to walk on; there may be a slight incline when hiking north and the trail surface ranges from crushed stone to dirt to asphalt. As always, this is an outdoor walk, wear proper shoes and bring your curiosity. Buffalo Creek Nature Park has binoculars available for borrowing to enhance your hike.
Meet at the pavilion by the nature center; there are bathrooms conveniently located inside the building. Program would be cancelled in the event of extreme weather (heavy rain/snow).
