The Weavers of Harmony are sponsoring a Fleece-to-Shawl demonstration on Saturday, June 11, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Harmony Museum’s Weavers Cabin, 245 Mercer Street in Harmony. Six different teams will be demonstrating their spinning and weaving skills. With sheep on site (weather permitting) for petting and photos, all ages will find something interesting to watch. The event will also feature the sale of fleeces and used fiber equipment. Spinning wheel restoration expert, Ed Rowan, also be at the event to offer his insights.
The event is free to the public. The shawls will be available via a silent auction, through June, at Wunderbar Coffee and Crepes, 453 Mercer St. in Harmony.
