Overview
Historic Harmony, Inc. was founded in 1943 and operates the Harmony Museum, which interprets 250 years of rich history. Museum presentations that include George Washington's 1753 Mission, the communal Harmony Society, Mennonites, and the collection of outstanding sporting rifles by 19th century Harmony gunsmith Charles Flowers. It's nine properties include the 1809 main museum building, the1812 Wagner Haus that houses the Musuem shop, Rapp's seat and overlook, three log cabins with displays, as well as the Harmony Society cemetery with giant stone revolving door. The restored Mennonite Meetinghouse and Cemetery are individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Volunteers help with many events and the maintenance of the properties.
