Executive chef, Alan Green, creates original recipes and daily menu specials while continuing to highlight beloved favorites like crab cakes, lobster bisque, and filet mignon. In addition, over 50% of Hotel Saxonburg’s menu ingredients are purchased from local farms. Featuring a three-course meal for Butler County’s Restaurant Week, including the lobster bisque, this is a place that shouldn’t be skipped. After a relaxing and delightful meal, walk through town and enjoy the ambiance of a charming town complete with an old wooden church at the end of Main Street and Victorian-style houses and buildings. Visit Roebling Park and see the miniature replica of the Brooklyn Bridge designed by Saxonburg’s founder, John A. Roebling.

Savor the flavor at Avor Thai, a from-scratch, authentic Thai Restaurant. For Butler County’s Restaurant Week, you can enjoy a three-course featured meal with one of their most popular dishes, pad thai. 3. Cannella Cafe — Butler, PA

Cannella Cafe is a hidden gem breakfast and lunch place in downtown Butler that has a modern and intimate feel with its exposed brick wall, metal coffee bar area, and leafy plant decorations. For Restaurant Week, try a savory or sweet dish. Choose between rich cinnamon roll pancakes, regular homemade cinnamon rolls, or the Royal breakfast that is fit for a king, covering all the breakfast favorites — eggs, your choice of breakfast meat, homefries, toast, and a pancake. Cannella Cafe is also bringing back their cannoli pancakes just for Restaurant Week which are filled with sweet cannoli cream filling! They also serve amazing coffee drinks, so you will want to try a specialty coffee, tea, or hot chocolate with your meal.
4. Shubrew: Handcrafted Ales & Food / General Shus — Zelienople, PA
Former Executive Chef and now partner, Patrick Wyman created a from-scratch kitchen and brought cuisines from all over the world to Zelienople through Shubrew: Handcrafted Ales & Food. Now ShuBrew partners with local suppliers and farmers daily to create a seasonal menu with only the freshest ingredients. One example is ShuBrew’s Sweetwater Farms Featured Salad. Not only does ShuBrew partner with a local farm, but they create an ever-changing salad with the freshest, seasonal ingredients from the farm. For Butler County Restaurant Week, they are featuring a special fried rice or noodle bowl that is sure to be incredibly flavorful. Enjoy dining at a brew pub by pairing your meal with a handcrafted, original Shu “Brew.” In addition, ShuBrew is sustainable. In 2019, they earned the platinum designation from Sustainable Pittsburgh signifying that they support environmentally responsible practices by working with local farms, minimizing waste, creating a vibrant community, and more. 6. Rajbhog Indian Cafe — Cranberry Twp., PA
Find a variety of curry, naan, samosas, and so much more at Rajbhog Indian Cafe! The menu is full of Indian “street foods” and traditional curry dishes. After your meal, head to their Indian grocery store to peruse a wide variety of sweets and snacks. Another unique aspect of Rajbhog is that you can create your own spice blend at the grocery store. At Wunderbar, there is a variety of relaxing options for enjoying your meal with friends or family — tables inside or outside on a covered porch, as well as comfy chairs in the back room. One of their signature items for Butler County’s Restaurant Week is the Bucho Grilled Cheese, which is served between two slices of pretzel bread baked next door at The Two Fraus Bakery. They also have many gluten-free options with their amazing savory and sweet crepes! The crepes are made with buckwheat from Zanella Milling in Butler County.
