Butler County is ready for a fun and eventful summer! From one of the biggest fairs in Western Pennsylvania to small town events, there will be something for everyone and every age!

Seven Fields Community Days Carnival
Seven Fields is hosting its 13th annual Community Days Carnival June 8, 9, and 10 Join the fun at this all day event with lots of rides, games, and live performances from 7 to 10 pm! Of course, the best part is…carnival food!! Funnel cakes, deep fried Oreos, corn dogs, hot sausage, all you can imagine and more! Mark your calendars and ride all day for $20 or get a single pass for $3. Tickets will be sold at the event only.
Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival
Don’t be left in the dust! Hit the road for all the fun for the 12th Annual Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival in the birthplace of the Jeep! Hit the off-road trails, shop for parts or accessories in the vendor area, and experience the original Jeep Invasion in downtown Butler. Show off your Jeep and enjoy the Jeep lifestyle all day from June 9 to 11!
Mars New Year Festival
Join us at the Mars New Year Festival for an out of this world experience on June 9, 5-10 pm and June 10, 12-10 pm! Celebrate our fascination and curiosity with outer space, and humankind’s journey to the Moon, Mars, and beyond! The event will feature STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math), educational activities for all ages, as well as entertainment, food, community vendors and new to this year, LEGO building contest. 2023 marks the 150th anniversary of Mars Boro! Don’t miss the Mars New Year costume contest on Saturday, let’s see what you got!
Summer Wine Walk in Harmony
Take the evening one sip at a time with Harmony’s Summer Wine Walk Saturday, June 10 It’s an evening of tasting from local wineries, cideries, and distilleries while walking through Historic Harmony Borough! Want to skip the line? A limited number of VIP Early Entry tickets are available to start at 4 pm for $60. General admission begins at 5 pm for $40. All proceeds go to the Zelienople Area Public Library. Be there!
Big Butler Parts-A-Rama
Calling all vehicle enthusiasts! Big Butler Parts-A-Rama is hosting one of the largest parts swap meets at the Big Butler Fairgrounds in Prospect, June 16-8. With over 700 vendors, you’ll find parts and supplies that are not readily available at the local auto parts stores, and many items that are no longer sold or manufactured. Don’t miss out on this awesome event for the chance to see vendors from all across the country.
Berry Festival and Craft Show
It’s a berry flavor takeover with Freedom Farms Berry Festival and Craft Show June 24-25 from 11 am to 5 pm! The event features tractor rides, a petting zoo, and more than 50 craft vendors all over the farm. The fun doesn’t stop there, explore the beer and wine garden, stop and shop at the open air markets, devour delicious fresh food at the Freedom Farms concessions. Let the kids get their face painted and engage in more activities just for them! Admission is $10 per person and children 3 and under are free! Have a berry, berry fun time!
Saxonburg Fireman's Carnival
Great food, great rides, and lots of fun! What more could you ask for? Starting June 27 and running until July 1 is this year's Saxonburg Fireman's Carnival. Bring the kids, bring your friends, bring the whole family down to enjoy the night from 6 pm to 11 pm. With rides ranging from traditional merry-go-rounds and swings, to a wide variety for kids of all ages. Gather with the community for free admission with the choice of ride-all-day tickets for $15-18!
Big Butler Fair
An event that is considered by many to be the best of its kind in the country… It's the Big Butler Fair! Starting June 30 until July 8, is the largest agricultural fair in Western Pa.! The fair draws more than 100,000 people from all around to enjoy nine days of food, fireworks, carnival rides, games, derbies, concerts, truck pulls, and so much more! Never run out of things to do and enjoy the outdoors all day long!
Playthings Etc. Summer Treasure Hunt
Do you think you have what it takes to solve the ultimate mystery? Engage in Playthings Etc. Summer Treasure Hunt with the chance to win as much as a $50 gift card! Gift cards will be hidden in public areas within a 16 mile radius of the store. Underway now and continuing through July 4, checkout Playthings Etc Facebook page for puzzles and clues and be the first to the location! Don’t forget to grab a picture where you found the gift card, and then happy shopping!
Zelienople Bed Derby
It’s time to let your imagination fly! Grab your mattresses and all the materials you can find for Zelienople's second Bed Derby, at 6:30 pm, July 6! Teams of five participants (four pushers, one rider) will build a bed on wheels and race through an obstacle course on High Street. Prizes will be presented for the best decorated bed and the fastest time through the obstacle. Get ready…set…Push!
Cranberry Community Days
Cranberry Community Park will showcase all things Cranberry July 13-15 with Community Days! There will be carnival rides, fireworks, local dining, food trucks, craft beer, wine and all day fun, so bring your family and friends together and embrace the fun! As the sun goes down, dance and sing your way through the night with live music. All funds raised will go towards supporting the CTCC Project of the year!
Community Chase 5k Run/Walk
Run or walk the beautiful mixture of hills, roads, and nature trails of Cranberry Community Park for its 5k Run/Walk! The event will take place at 8:30 am, July 15. Water and light refreshments will follow the race along with the chance to win some cool prizes! Bring the young ones for the Kids Fun Run 100 yard dash, free of charge!
Wildflower Festival
Stop! Smell the flowers with Freedom Farms and take home some of your favorites! The farm is bringing in an essence of summer at its Wildflower Festival, July 15-16. Admission is $10 which includes a tractor ride to the flower field where you can pick all the sunflowers, zinnias, snapdragons and gomphrena you want! The festival will also have an animal barn, pony rides, sunflower maze, corn pit, and so much more!
Zelienople Horse Trading Days
It’s three days packed with fun in Zelienople as Horse Trading Days returns for its 59th year, July 20-22. Platinum recording artists Eve 6 will close the event with a ticketed show on July 22 on the ShuBrew Main Stage! Of course, all days will feature music and food, plus don’t miss the 5K, cornhole tournament, hot dog eating contest and more.
ShuBrew Hot Dog Eating Contest
Free Beer (for contestants 21+), hotdogs, and a little competition. What could be better? Do you think you have what it takes to beat the record of 20 hotdogs! Join ShuBrew on July 22 from 2-3 pm and, if you finish first, you’ll win $200. Break the record and take home $1,000! Second and third place will also receive Zelienople z-cards. Hotdogs and t-shirts will be launched to the crowd, beer will be sold, and lots of fun will be had!
Celebrate the Bloom
This free annual event at Jennings Environmental Education Center on the last Saturday in July, celebrates the state’s only prairie! The festival includes bird, butterfly. wildflower walks, engaging demonstrations, and local artisans plus food and musical guests. The event is produced in cooperation with 3MJC.
Moraine State Park Regatta
The Moraine State Park Regatta is an annual regional 2-day event celebrated on Moraine State Park's South Shore the first weekend in August. Their 2023 event weekend is scheduled for Saturday, August 5th and 6th. There is no admission or parking charge and many Regatta events are FREE. This annual event brings thousands of visitors each year to experience and enjoy the 3,225 acres of Lake Arthur with over 40 miles of scenic shoreline. The Regatta offers land and lake activities along with exciting new opportunities to enjoy the natural resources of the park.
Butler Farm Show
What started out as a plowing contest in 1947 has evolved and grown into this massive, and popular five-day event, held this year August 7-12. The Butler Farm Show highlights Butler County’s farming community and includes farm-related activities including judging exhibits and demonstrations, animals, arts and crafts, and farm products. Of course there’s music, entertainment, and rides, too!
Cranberry Sunset Disc Golf Doubles Tournament
Fling some discs and help some animals! North Boundary Championship Disc Golf Course will host a tournament to raise money for the Butler County Humane Society as well as additional programs for organizations around the Pittsburgh area on August 19. Don’t know how to play? Free learn-to-play clinics will be ongoing all day! Lunch, player packs, and t-shirts will be provided. Engage in the game and enjoy prizes and raffles throughout the day!
The Band Jam Grass Roots Music Festival
The Band Jam Grass Roots Music Festival features the very best in local live music from the Western PA region and beyond. August 24-26, at Cooper's Lake Campground in Slippery Rock, attendees can enjoy over 450+ acres of camping, family fun, food, drink. Live music begins Friday the 25th at 5 p.m., and again on Saturday the 26th starting at 11 a.m.. A singer/songwriter in session will be held Thursday August 24th at 7 p.m. which is free of charge.
Butler Italian Festival
The Butler Italian Festival accentuates the deep and rich heritage of “famiglia” with events, activities and performances that unite spectators from all nationalities who enjoy life and appreciate the warmth of celebratory togetherness. This year’s festival will take place Friday, August 25th through Sunday, August 27th. From music and food to friends, family and fine wines...it's a taste of Italy in Downtown Butler!
Sprankle’s Octoberfest 2023
With rich history, and a chance to gather with friends and family, Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company brings to you Sprankle’s Oktoberfest! This annual celebration of community, originating in 2019, allows time for you to enjoy a day of amazing beer, food, and live entertainment. With tractor shows, steinholding competitions, cornhole tournaments, and Kinderland kids area full of fun inflatables, you’ll never run out of activities! Come raise a glass and enjoy the festival September 8-10.
Puppy Plunge
Calling all dogs and dog lovers! Bring your dog – with up to date vaccinations – to the Cranberry Township Waterpark for a swim, September 9. Dogs are welcome to splash into the pool and swim around while cooling off from the warm summer weather!
