Ladies’ Night

Hey there, Sara here.  Just wanted to share a fun night some of our team had in downtown Butler on Friday.  Michele, Michelle, Teri and I created beautiful works of art and had a chance to try Reclamation Brewing Company which just opened in September.  Would definitely recommend a similar itinerary for anyone looking for something fun to do.

We met at Reclamation for a brief post-work dinner.  Three of us had the potato leek soup and it was amazing.  Perfect for a chilly night.  Would definitely recommend it, and will definitely go back.  The Michel(l)es had Christmas ale which was deliciously blended with spices.  (Check out Reclamation’s website to scope out the menu or plan your visit during their weekly Wednesday entertainment.)

After that, we headed over to Brushes & Barstools, just a few doors down on Main Street.  There, we created these masterpieces:

It was a lot of fun… you bring your own wine (check out these wineries!), and they tell you step by step how to do the painting.  No natural artistic talent necessary!  Here it was about halfway through:

The reindeer had to be done in white first to help cover up the blue background, but it also made it gave your confidence and practice for the finished deer.  You can do it!

Or you can be like me and completely go off track.  Creativity is encouraged.  I chose to add some extras to my painting, including my cat, Scout.

All in all, it was a great night of bonding with co-workers, getting in the holiday spirit, and supporting some new local businesses.
